The daily song quiz archive turns every completed Songspot Daily 5 into a playable time capsule. Choose a real date, listen to the same five clues that players heard that day, and make your guesses without seeing song titles, artists, artwork, or answers in advance. It is the full Daily 5 format, preserved for anyone who missed a day or wants another careful listen.
Start with the recent row or move through the calendar month by month. Songspot only opens dates that contain a complete five-song Daily 5 created after the public launch on August 25, 2026. Empty dates stay unavailable instead of being filled with a newly generated set, so every playable card represents a challenge that genuinely ran on that UTC date.
Each archived challenge keeps the familiar difficulty climb from Easy through Impossible. Press play for the shortest clue, type a song title, or reveal a longer clip when you need more context. The five clue stages move from a split-second opening to a longer preview. Guessing earlier earns more points, while skipping safely reveals the track and moves the set forward.
Your first completed Archive run is attached to this browser-linked Songspot profile. The archive records the total score, correct answers, round results, and progress needed to resume an unfinished set. That saved result is your personal record for the date. It is deliberately separate from the official Daily leaderboard, completion time, public rank, and participation streak.
After the first result is complete, the same date can be replayed as often as you like. Replays begin as fresh browser-session games, do not overwrite the saved score, and never write a second ranked attempt. This makes the daily song quiz archive useful for introducing a friend, revisiting a difficult clue, or testing whether the song is easier to recognize on another listen.
One set, five levels
Every available date contains exactly five rounds: Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert, and Impossible. The rising difficulty is part of the original challenge, and the archive keeps that order intact. You can still decide how much of each clue to hear, but you cannot swap the day’s songs for a different collection. For unlimited genre, decade, and artist filters, use Practice mode instead.
Archive scoring rewards recognition from shorter clips. A correct answer at an early clue stage is worth more than the same answer after a longer reveal. The final result combines all five rounds into one score and correct-answer count. Because the archive has no public ranking, you can focus on the music rather than racing another player’s completion time.
Know the difference
Both modes use the same core guessing game, but they answer different needs. Today’s Daily 5 is the shared event; the daily song quiz archive is the permanent library that begins after a challenge has closed.

A quiet, spoiler-free index
The calendar intentionally shows only dates, play status, first score, and correct-answer count. It never prints the day’s song names, artists, album covers, or preview artwork. That separation lets you scan the daily song quiz archive and choose a challenge without learning what is about to play. A completed card may show your result, but it still keeps all five tracks secret.
Answer pages open only after the challenge date has ended at the UTC reset and only when all five tracks are present. Selecting an Answers control first opens a spoiler confirmation. Continue only when you want the complete reveal: song title, artist, difficulty, cover, and Apple Music destination for every round. Today’s answers, future challenges, missing dates, and incomplete sets remain unavailable.
You can play an archived challenge even after reading its answer page, but that run is best treated as a memory test rather than a blind guess. The original first Archive score stays unchanged, and a replay never enters the Daily leaderboard. If surprise matters, choose Play before Answers and return to the reveal page after finishing all five rounds.

The daily song quiz archive is Songspot’s playable history of real Daily 5 challenges. It begins with the public launch challenge from August 25, 2026 and adds another date only after that UTC day is over and its five-track set is complete. It is not a list of random Practice songs and it does not generate a substitute challenge when a date is missing.
No. An Archive result is stored separately from the official Daily attempt system. It cannot add a participation day, repair a missed streak, publish a leaderboard position, or replace a lower Daily score. This separation protects the shared competition while still giving every past set a useful second life.
Once that date has passed, the unfinished official Daily attempt has expired. You can then start one independent Archive first run for the same date and save that Archive result. It remains unranked and does not convert the expired attempt into an official completion. If an official Daily was already completed, its original result is shown and replay opens in unranked mode.
A date becomes playable only when it is earlier than today in UTC, falls on or after Songspot’s launch date, and has all five verified Daily tracks. The daily song quiz archive never invents historical questions retroactively. Future days, today’s active challenge, dates before launch, and any incomplete challenge remain disabled until they satisfy those rules.
No. Your first completed score is permanent for that browser-linked profile. Later replays live only for the current browser session and start again from round one. Refreshing during a replay can restart it, but it cannot erase or alter the saved first result. This keeps the personal record honest while making practice unlimited.
Use the Answers control on an eligible past date, then confirm the spoiler warning. The historical answer page lists all five difficulties with the song, artist, artwork, and Apple Music link. You can also browse the Daily Answers index. The current day is always withheld until the next UTC reset.
Archive progress follows Songspot’s anonymous browser-linked profile rather than an email login. Returning with the same browser session can resume a saved first run, but another device or cleared browser data may appear as a different player. Songspot does not currently provide account-based sync or cross-device recovery for Daily 5 or Archive results.
